Say hello to a younger Suriya...

Taking up new avatars for each movie, losing weight, putting on a few extra pounds, and what not is required from a film star, especially the protagonist of each movie. Failing to do these in the right way, doesn't create the magic, the captain of the ship, that is to say the director, wants to create in the movie.

With the shooting work having been completed on AR Murugadoss's '7am Arivu', where he will share screen space with Shruthi Haasan, Suriya is busy getting into the look of his next, 'Maatran,' under KV Anand's direction.

'Maatran' will see Suriya cast opposite Kajal Agarwal and the movie marks the comeback of Suriya and KV Anand together, after blockbuster 'Ayan'. KV Anand wants Suriya to shed down a few kilos and also look younger and fitter for his role in 'Maatran'. And it seems, the opening scene in the film requires Suriya to look way younger, and hence this decision.

Apart from his workouts, Suriya is busy running from pillar to post for his brother, Karthi's wedding. Meanwhile, the team of 'Maatran' is readying the sets and other requirements so that the movie can go on floors shortly after the wedding...
