Suresh Oberoi, the famous Hindi film actor with over 100 films to his credit, will don the role of Dr. Rajkumar in A.M.R. Ramesh directed Veerappan Attahasa. Arjun Sarja plays the role of the cop Vijaykumar who gunned down Veerappan; Ravi Kaale plays the role of Vijaykumar’s buddy.
After hearing the script and knowing more about Dadasaheb Phalke award winner Dr. Rajkumar, Suresh Oberoi has agreed to act in this Kannada-Tamil bilingual.
The mahurut for Veerappan Attahasa was held in the house of director A.M.R. Ramesh on 30th June. Highly talented Kishore plays the title role of Veerappan.
Shivakumar (one of Dr. Rajkumar’s abductors who came with fugitive Veerappan on Bheemana Amavasye day on July 30, 2000) has now been set free after 30 months in jail. He will be playing himself in this film.
Nagappa Maradagi, one of Dr. Rajkumar’s four companions (who ran away from Veerappan’s clutches), is also in the cast.
Yuvan Shanker Raja is scoring the music; Dilip Subbaraya is the action director; Vijay Milton is the cameraman and Antony is the editor.
Director A.M.R. Ramesh is busy now with location hunting.
