Why is Rowthiram hastened?

rowthiram-vandhan-vendraan-21-07-11Rowthiram’s re-recording work is going on at full swing because debut director Gokul wants to release the film next month at any cost. The reason for this hastened work is that Vandhan Vendraan, another Jiiva starrer, is also ready for release and the filmmakers of both these films do not want it to hit the screens around the same time.
Since Vandhan Vendraan is expected to be released in September, Rowthiram team is working day in and day out to release the movie in August. Rowthiram stars Jiiva and Shriya Saran in lead roles while Vandhan Vendraan has Taapsee pairing up with Jiiva.

Vedi it will be for Prabhu Deva and Vishal!

The title for Prabhu Deva-directed, Vishal-starrer film will be Vedi. This project was announced without a title and then during the shooting it was said that the working title would be Prabhakaran or Prabha.
prabhu-deva-vishal-21-07-11But now the title has been finalized and it is Vedi. Interestingly, there was an announcement that Vikram would star in a film titled Vedi some months ago and later it was announced that director Bhoopathy Pandian would direct Vishal in Vedi but this did not happen for various reasons.
Therefore, Prabhu Deva decided to lap up the title which was apparently up for grabs now. Vedi is produced by GK Films, the home production of Vishal and has Sameera Reddy playing his heroine.

Jayalalithaa knows me: Ajith

Many from the industry called on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in the last two months to personally convey their greetings on her being elected the head of the State for the third time. But there was no Ajith's name in the list, though the actor was considered close to the AIADMK supremo.
Explaining as to why he did not meet Jayalalithaa in person, Ajith says, "Because she is the Chief Minister for the whole of Tamil Nadu. And she has a lot of commitments and works to do. I don't want to disturb her."
Ajith adds: "Even if I had met her, some would have criticised it saying that I called on her only to seek her help for the smooth release of my forthcoming film Mankatha. Now the same persons question why I did not meet her".
"Amma knows me very well. She knows what the truth is and what not," Ajith says, adding: "So I am not bothered about unwanted issues raised by certain people. Because they are not going to produce any of my films.
