Asin to star in Hindi remake of a Tamil hit?

She breezed into Tamil with 'M. Kumaran S/o Mahalakshmi.' Now there are talks going on in Bollywood circles that the actress might be roped for the same role she played in 'M. Kumaran...' for its Hindi version too.

Sources close to the popular Telugu director-producer Puri Jagannath have revealed that he was in talks with the actress, and that she was thrilled to be a part of this project. Puri Jagannath's recent Bollywood flick 'Bbuddah... Hoga Terra Baap' which deals with the life of an aged but ready'-to-go goon played by Big B is having a good run at the box-office.

Though Asin, who has a good rapport with the director, has not signed on to be on-board this project, sources suggest that she might soon get to pen her name on the dotted line.

It was 'M. Kumaran S/o Mahalakshmi' which gave her the much-needed break in Tamil, incidentally, she was the lead in its Telugu original, 'Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi', and it fetched her the Filmfare Award for the best actress in Telugu.
