The wedding reception of Selvaraghavan and Gitanjali was a glitzy affair at Mayor Ramanathan Chettiyar Hall in Chennai on Monday evening, with big guns from political and film worlds greeting the newly-married.Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M Karunanidhi was one among the early birds to visit the venue in person and bless the couple. Former Deputy Chief Minister and DMK Treasurer M K Stalin also greeted Selva and Gitanjali.
Veteran K Balachander was present with his student Vasanth, while Gauthami and daughters Akshara and Subbulakshmi greeted the couple on behalf of Kamal Haasan. MGR Kazhagam leader R M Veerappan, 'Jayam' Ravi and Sundar C were also present.
Playing perfect hosts to the guests were Selvaraghavan's brother Dhanush, sister-in-law Aishwarya, parents Kasthuriraja and Vijayalakshmi and the director's father-in-law P S Raman, who is the former Advocate General of Tamil Nadu government.
