Sadly, A.R. Rahman couldn't attend the awards ceremony! "Thank you Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa and Ye Maya Chesaave music lovers, my beloved Fans and the Filmfare jury! Your love and support means so much to me," Rahman posted on his Facebook page.
"I am on the other side of the world, busy doing music... I am disappointed that I couldn't make it to Hyderabad to be with you. I do want to appreciate my team of singers, musicians, sound engineers and lyric writers who as a team made this unique! And, of course, Director Gautam Menon and the terrific cast in Tamil and Telugu," he added.
He further added, "Special thanks to the Telugu fans as this is my first Filmfare award for a Telugu movie."
