He has done quite well behind the camera - to be more precise in music, now he is donning the grease paint that will introduce him in films. Wondering whom we are discussing? Vijay Antony, the man who is responsible for many hit songs, and Tamil flavoured raps in Kollywood. He changed skin from a successful sound engineer to a musician, now he has again changed skins to wow fans before the camera.The film is titled ‘Naan’ and Jeeva Shankar wields the camera for this film. This film sees Vijay Antony as the hero. Also in cast are Siddharth (Anandha Thandavam), Anuya and Roopa Manjeri. Sources suggest that this film was initially started in 2008 but was shelved due to unexplained reasons. The music director is quite confident that he will be accepted well as a hero too.
It seems like the musician-actor is adept at multitasking too. Because even while shuttling between shooting spots and recording studios he is able to do justice in both the fields. He is composing music for the upcoming ‘Velayudham’ which sees Vijay, Genelia and Hansika Motwani in the lead. He has also been roped in for the next Prabhu Deva film which will see Vishal in the lead role.
