Popular actor and DMDK president Vijayakanth will tour the Rishivandhyam constituency for three days from today to thank voters who had elected him as their representative in the Tamil Nadu Assembly.The Captain, who on Sunday offered prayers at the Goddess Kamakshi Amman Temple in Kanchipuram along with wife Premalatha and party workers, said it was his duty to thank the people.
The actor-politician, who is affectionately called as ‘Captain’ by his fans and party workers, started his ‘thanks-giving’ tour at 9 am today from Manalurpet, one of the villages in the constituency.
“He will visit 35 villages today, 51 villages tomorrow and another 51 villages on Wednesday to meet the voters. He will personally go to each and every street to express his gratitude,” party sources said.
